I’m a certified NRA firearms instructor, certified Range Safety Officer, Master Class competitive shooter, and passionate advocate for women’s self-defense. I’ve dedicated my career to helping others build confidence, skill, and awareness through firearms training in Lynchburg, VA and across Central Virginia.

Growing up with a father in law enforcement, I was introduced to firearms at a young age, where I learned not just how to shoot, but also the responsibility, discipline, and respect that come with carrying one. About seven years ago, I stepped into competitive shooting, quickly rising to Master Class, and discovered a passion for both the challenge of the sport and the supportive community around it.

That passion inspired me to become an instructor with a clear mission: to empower women to feel confident, capable, and prepared. I know firsthand how intimidating it can feel to step onto the range for the first time, and my teaching style is designed to replace fear with skill, comfort, and confidence.

Through Sharpen Your Shot and the Lynchburg Arms Ladies shooting club, I’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students across Central Virginia. My classes are intentionally small and supportive, focused on more than just hitting a target. I teach safety, precision, and practical skills that prepare students not only for the range, but for everyday life. For women, that often means self-defense and situational awareness, because being prepared isn’t just about shooting; it’s about having a plan, building confidence, and walking through the world differently.

When I’m not on the range or competing, I enjoy hiking with my husband and our bull terrier, Pawlie, exploring the outdoors, and indulging in my love for food and wine.
